In June 2010, our projects manager opened a poll to vote for which animal we should “adopt” in honor of Jay, ultimately choosing to support an endangered tiger with 41% of the votes.
Malu Pothi, a Bengal tigress from Nepal, was symbolically adopted in July 2010 through the World Wildlife Fund. Our donation (approximately $80 USD) was made possible thanks to the generosity of Jaywalkers around the world. In exchange for our donation, we received the premium package (including a plushy and certificate) which was sent promptly to Jay himself.
By participating in this project, you have helped protect the estimated 3,200 tigers left in the wild. Thank you to everyone who supported this project!
