Singer Jay Park’s daily life will be broadcasted as a reality show.
Cable TV channel ‘MBC Every1’ is planning to air the show Dramatic Jay Park on April 12 at 12am. Dramatic Jay Park will be the very first episode of the show that will share the daily lives of entertainers from SidusHQ.
The title will be changed as the cast member changes, such as Dramatic Song Joong-gi and Dramatic Kim Shin-young. To date, Song Joong-gi and Kim Shin-young are confirmed to be the cast members of the next episodes.
According to a staffer, MBCevery1 has been planning for Park’s own reality show since last year, but early this year, they decided to change the format to showcase the daily lives of entertainers from SidusHQ.
Park received much attention from the viewers as he appeared on the reality show Wild Bunny (by M-net) during his activities with 2PM. Fans are excited to see what kind of image he will show as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, Jay Park is planning to release his album in mid-April.

Curious about Jay Park’s daily life? A new reality show to be broadcast.
Jay Park “standing alone… I’m not afraid”
Album to be released on birthday, April 25th… took care of composing, lyrics and choreography himself
Compensate for hiatus with one blow… will run only forward
“I have nothing to fear.”
Jay Park, the singer who is nearing his comeback, threw his hat into the ring. Jay Park will release an official album on his birthday, April 25th and start a journey as a solo artist. He returned to Korea after many twists and turns but we could not see his face on TV. However, much energy has been save up, as so much time demanded perseverance and patience. Like a frog crouching to leap higher, Jay Park is busy decorating a stage that he has dearly wanted to show all this time.
“I met the fans through concerts etc. but I always felt that something was missing. Whenever I heard fans talk about how they wished to see me active on TV again, I felt quite bad. My hiatus was long but I was not afraid. In fact, I am anticipating.”
This album is meaningful to Jay Park. It’s an album where his producing skills, including composing and lyric-writing, will be judged. The title track is “Abandoned”. If he showed restricted sensibility in “Count on Me”, a single he released momentarily after returning to Korea, “Abandoned” is a power-filled track. Jay Park, whom we met at his M/V set in a studio, blew away the audience with his performance, which seemed to throw away all his sorrow.
“It begins as R&B, but as it gets faster near the end, it gives off a strong feel. It is a track that both appeals to the public and introduces the Jay style. There is not a thing that didn’t go through my hands, from composing, lyrics, choreography to performance prep. I will be satisfied if fans can have fun with me while watching my stage. What is better than a song that brings the artist and his fans together?”
Jay Park: the man whose life of high popularity came to a sudden stop in a blink. It was an ordeal that was too much for a youth in his early 20′s to go through. But, as the rainbow appears after rain, Jay Park that stood on stage again had grown. Instead of taking a back seat and hesitating, he is running even faster to make up for the wasted time. Instead of being hurt from malicious comments, he is all ears to good advice.
“There is too much to do. I don’t even have time to be hurt over bad comments (laughs). To win back the times where I could not perform although I wanted to, I need to live faster. My parents worry more when they hear bad rumours about me. I, ironically, send them texts saying not to worry.”
Jay Park, after finding a new home, is getting ready to meet his fans in more various ways. After signing a contract with the leading entertainment agency, SidusHQ, he has been cast in Happy Together, finishing up his transformation into an actor, in addition to preparing for his album.
“I am really grateful that they created this environment for me, where I can challenge myself in any area. They also opened the doors to the new stage of acting. Personally, I am getting a lot of inspiration from Jang Hyuk hyung, from the same agency, who gives me many good advices.”
The prefix ‘ex-2PM member’ still precedes Jay Park’s name. It was an inseparable being to him. They are colleagues that he misses, as they went through everything together for a long time, but Jay has not yet been able to meet up with them. But Jay Park doesn’t rush. He believes that when the time is right, and when the opportunity arises, then they will meet again. As he had when he was their leader, Jay Park keeps his composure and calms his mind.
“It makes me feel good to see them trying hard. I believe that we will meet again on good terms if we do our best in each others’ area. I am always cheering for 2PM. I believe that it is important to stand up by myself right now rather than depending on someone and blaming others.”
The goal of this returned artist is to get rid of the ‘idol’ label. Although he was once a leader of an idol group, Jay Park wishes now to gain various prefixes. Jay Park said, full of energy, “I like ‘rapper’ and ‘b-boy’ (as prefixes). I also want to be called an entertainer; it contains all the meanings. I am sure that I will earn new prefixes if I keep showing my improvements instead of sticking with one image forever.”

Jay Park: “Ne-Yo is cooler and more humble than I thought”
Singer Jay Park conveyed his impressions of Ne-Yo, after meeting the world pop-star.
At 5pm on March 28th, Jay Park and Ne-Yo attracted attention by counseling around 80 young aspiring musicians together through a one-day “Dream Academy” at the Apgujeong Hyundae Department Store.
With a huge smile on his face, Jay Park said, “Normally I am huge fan of Ne-Yo, but I was even happier because I got to meet him today… Ne-Yo is cooler and more humble than I thought he’d be… I almost want to become a Ne-Yo wannabe because he is so charming. It is such an honor to take part in a good deed together.” He added, “I’m performing the guest stage for him, it’s such an honor. I will work hard to put on a great performance.”
Before meeting Ne-Yo, Jay Park, at the opening of the “Dream Academy”, he gave encouraging messages to young aspiring singers and honestly shared his views on the hardships of being a singer and how to be successful.

Jay Park and Ne-Yo as the one-day teachers for “Dream Academy”

Artist Jay Park met Ne-Yo, the world-famous pop star.
At the “Dream Academy”, which was held in Hyundai Department Store on March 28th, Jay Park and Ne-Yo had a meaningful time with 80 children who aspire to become musicians.
Jay Park, whose entrance was welcomed by the cheer from the children, said, “I heard that you guys dream of becoming musicians. For me, I never thought of being a musician myself as a child and just enjoyed music by Usher or Michael Jackson. I began to dance and sing for fun; seeing this, my mom suggested that I should go for the audition in Seattle, and with luck, I made it.”
He continued, “I debuted in Korea after getting some training. I believe that you improve better if you practice like it’s the real performance, while enjoying it. It’s not like I’m as good as Ne-Yo now, but back then, I was really tone-deaf. Because I loved to sing, I improved a lot.”
He also added, “When I was inactive, I didn’t sit still; I danced with the b-boy hyungs. I think I can put in a few songs of mine in the new album since I have been composing these days. I believe that music should be your life. That’s how you can become a good musician,” and gave advice to the children.
When asked if he liked anyone right now by one of the children, Jay Park answered, “I like a lot of people. I like a foreign female rapper as a girl,” and made the crowd laugh.
Near the end, Jay Park put his hand up before all the children when the MC asked if anyone has heard of the songs by Ne-Yo. He maintained his brightness by giving autographs to the children with Ne-Yo.
Meanwhile, Ne-Yo’s Korean concert will be held in the Olympic Park at 8pm on March 30th, and Jay Park will mount the stage as the single opening guest.
