Jay Park struggles while dressed in layers of padded jackets… “This is how I would look if I gained 100kg.”

Singer Jay Park took on the challenge of wearing layers of padded jackets.
A video of him playing around and wearing up to 8 padded jackets during his dENiZEN photo shoot has been uploaded on YouTube.

Park tackled this challenge in an orderly way, starting off with a vest. Then with the 5th jacket, a staff member had to assist him putting on the jackets since he could not move his arms thoroughly. Park’s face was barely seen due to the thickness of padded jackets.

After this video was uploaded, Park himself left a witty comment and entertained the fans saying, “This is how I look if I gained 100kg.”
Netizens enthusiastically responded to the video with comments like “Cutie~ really cute”; “I rolled with laughter because of Jay”; “He has became cuter than before”; and “So cute when he waddles.”

Jay Park turns into an idol singer in the movie “Happy Together”…official debut on the Korean screens!

Jay Park will star as an idol singer in the movie, Happy Together (produced by Daisy Entertainment).

On the 10th, a staffer affiliated with SidusHQ revealed, “Jay has been confirmed to star in Happy Together.” Happy Together is directed by Ra Hee-Chan, who also directed Leave When They Applaud (박수칠 때 떠나라), and produced by Daisy Entertainment.

Happy Together is a story about the growth of a 4-member idol group that opened their eyes to money and popularity at too young of an age. They face a crisis when their well-respected leader falls from the stage, and the gap is filled by a member of an indie band member from Hongdae.

Jay Park, who plays the number 2 of the group, disagrees on everything with the new member from the indie band (Ji Hyun-Woo), who thinks “idols are products,” and comes into conflict with him. But in the end, they harmonize with music as their common interest.

Kim Soo-Ro stars as the CEO of the agency that houses the idols, Park Si-Yeon as the famous producer that nurtures them. Jang Young-Nam, Go Chang-Suk, Yim Won-Hee, and others have also joined the cast.

A staffer of Happy Together said, “Jay, who finished the shooting of Hype Nation, showed his motivation through the several meetings we had. The staff visited Jay during his [Big 4] concert at Jeonju and supported him.” According to him, the shooting of Happy Together is slated to begin in late December.

(Omitted summary of Jay’s return to Korea.)

VOGUE GIRL (Denoted from here on V.G.) Did you cut your hair again? The fans were vexed, telling you not to cut it.
JAY: That’s why I left the middle part alone and had sides shaved, although truthfully I wanted to shave everything. I couldn’t because I thought the fans would hate it.
V.G.: There’s word that you always cut your hair before a performance?
J: Not quite. I don’t like it when my hair sticks out when I wear hats, and since I wear a lot of hats during performances, that’s how my thought process goes.

V.G.: Yesterday you performed at [Seoul Soul Festival]. You got to collaborate with Musiq Soulchild.
JAY: It was fun. When would an opportunity for me to sing together with Musiq SoulChild come again? But it was a bit disappointing. We sang “Love” together. I only learned that we would sing together the day before. We didn’t have time to rehearse with each other, as we only met the day before. We only got to greet each other very shortly, some 30 seconds?

V.G.: Before you performed, you wrote that you were nervous on Twitter?
JAY: Honestly, for this performance there was not one thing that was set in stone so it was very nervewrecking. Before I got on the stage, I didn’t know if there would be band or if there would be MR, we didn’t even do a sound check, and it was a live program without a rehearsal. On top of that, Musiq Soulchild’s manager learned much later that I was to perform together with Musiq Soulchild, so 10 minutes before we started we got an OK. I felt sorry to the fans since I had the feeling I could not show a perfect stage to them. But Musiq Soulchild is really kind. After the performance I wrote to his Twitter that I was disappointed (in not doing better), and I got a reply immediately. Today was good and it was enjoyable, and though I was disappointed, if the fans liked it then that was that, and if a chance comes, it would be nice for us to work together.
